Openings: 6 positions Location: Nairobi-based; nationwide travel Overview Our client is looking for six engaging Tour Guides/Driver-Guides to lead guests safely through Kenya’s parks and cities, delivering memorable interpretation on wildlife, culture, and conservation while maintaining top safety standards. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct pre-trip briefings on safety, itinerary, and expectations. - Guide game drives/walks or city tours; adjust pace to guest needs. - Deliver accurate, engaging interpretation; answer questions confidently. - Perform vehicle checks; maintain logbooks; keep vehicles clean and stocked. - Follow park rules and ethical wildlife viewing; manage risk scenarios. - Handle incidents and first-aid as trained; file post-trip reports. - Coordinate with lodges and operations on timing and guest requests. Education & Experience: - Certificate in Tour Guiding & Administration; PSV license for driver-guides. - 1–3 years guiding; lodge or city guiding acceptable. Skills & Tools: - Tools: GPS/navigation apps, VHF radio, first-aid kit, recovery gear. - Skills: storytelling, navigation, guest care, situational awareness. KPIs: - Guest review scores; safety record; on-time performance; vehicle care costs. Work Conditions: - Remote locations; long days; early starts; multi-day trips. Compensation (Kenya) KES 55,000–90,000/month (+ tips can materially increase total). Benefits Tips (variable); accommodation/meals during trips; park entry support per policy.
