The Sales Trainer role is a strategic and hands-on position centered on developing a high-performing sales force through structured training, practical coaching, and continuous skill reinforcement. Based in Westlands, Nairobi, this role is designed for someone who thrives on building systems that turn potential into consistent performance. You’ll act as both architect and coach, designing onboarding programs, sales playbooks, and certification paths that equip new and existing team members with the tools, confidence, and discipline needed to excel in competitive markets.
In this position, you’ll become the driving force behind sales excellence. Every week, you’ll engage directly with teams through training sessions, deal clinics, and one-on-one coaching, helping refine everything from product knowledge to communication technique and closing strategy. You’ll use data to identify performance gaps, track the impact of training on key metrics like ramp time and win rates, and continuously adapt content to reflect evolving customer and market dynamics.
The role also requires a strong grasp of learning systems and content design. You’ll maintain a structured library of materials, scripts, pitch decks, objection-handling guides, and process templates, ensuring that all sales collateral is aligned, accessible, and regularly refreshed. More than just a trainer, you’ll serve as a mentor and enabler, empowering managers to coach effectively and building a consistent sales culture that prizes skill mastery, accountability, and customer value.
Ultimately, this role blends strategic influence with daily interaction. It’s about shaping how the sales team thinks, communicates, and executes, creating a culture of excellence that accelerates growth, sharpens performance, and drives long-term commercial success.
