Openings: 3 positions Location: Nairobi Overview: Our client is looking for Special Needs Teachers to support learners with ASD, ADHD, and mild-to-moderate learning disabilities in an inclusive unit. You’ll create IEPs, coordinate therapists, and train mainstream teachers on accommodations. The unit aims for dignified inclusion, measurable progress, and family trust. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct assessments; develop and review IEPs each term. - Deliver individualized instruction and small-group pull-outs. - Train mainstream teachers on accommodations and behavior plans. - Coordinate therapists (OT, speech); track goals and notes. - Manage safeguarding, de-escalation, and sensory-friendly routines. - Run caregiver training and support groups. Education & Experience: - B.Ed Special Needs or B.Ed + SNE certification; 3+ years in SNE. Skills & Tools: - Behavior plans, assistive tech, documentation, empathy, collaboration. KPIs: - IEP goal attainment, attendance, teacher/caregiver satisfaction, and incident reduction. Compensation (Kenya): KES 90,000–150,000 + IEP outcome bonus.
