Step into a classroom where bytes and creativity meet. As one of two ICT Teachers, you won’t just cover theory, you’ll bring technology to life. Learners explore spreadsheets, craft presentations, build simple web pages, and code their first scripts, gaining skills that actually stick. Your lab becomes a hub for experimentation, problem-solving, and digital literacy.
Beyond teaching, you’ll own the lab environment: maintaining devices, managing software, and setting clear acceptable-use standards. You’ll also help colleagues integrate technology across subjects, ensuring that digital skills permeate the curriculum rather than remain isolated lessons.
Assessment is hands-on: practical exams, coding club projects, and real-world digital challenges will showcase learner growth. You’ll guide students safely through the online world, applying e-safety rules and securing parental consent where needed.
The role measures success in practical competence, project quality, lab reliability, and digital citizenship. It’s about turning curiosity into capability, helping students gain confidence with tools that will follow them far beyond school walls.
