Teacher Assistants in Grades 1–3 get to support literacy blocks, math centers, and daily routines, making sure every child stays engaged and supported. You’ll be the right-hand to the class teacher, giving targeted help to learners who need it most while keeping the classroom organized and running smoothly. From prepping materials and running small-group sessions to keeping an eye on safety during breaks, you’ll combine practical support with gentle mentorship. Beyond the classroom, you’ll help with displays, resources, and communication with parents when guided, ensuring the school’s values shine through every interaction. This is more than a support role; it’s the foundation of students’ early academic journey. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare materials; run small-group reading/math centers. - Track simple progress notes; report daily to the class teacher. - Supervise break/lunch; ensure safety and kindness. - Communicate with parents as guided; uphold school values. - Assist with displays, resources, and classroom organization. Education & Experience - Certificate/Diploma in Education; 0–2 years; passion for early literacy. Skills & Tools: - Patience, clear communication, basic records, teamwork. KPIs: - Learner engagement, punctuality, support notes quality, and classroom order. Compensation (Kenya): KES 30,000–45,000 + attendance bonus. Client estimates vary with experience.
