Step into a role where science meets productivity: as a Tissue Culture Technologist, you’ll be at the heart of scaling banana and ornamental plantlets for both commercial estates and NGO projects. Precision is non-negotiable; every explant you initiate, every subculture you handle, and every acclimatized plantlet must meet strict quality standards.
You’ll maintain aseptic workflows like a pro, prepare media, track contamination rates, and troubleshoot deviations before they impact output. The lab thrives on throughput as much as accuracy, so your ability to balance speed with meticulous technique is key. In addition to the hands-on lab work, you’ll manage inventory, batch records, and assist with audits, ensuring compliance and traceability across the production cycle.
Our client is looking for someone who blends technical skill with consistency and attention to detail. Success here is measured in clean cultures, high multiplication rates, and robust plantlet quality, all contributing directly to the lab’s productivity and reputation.
KES 90,000–150,000 + throughput bonus. Figures are client estimates and vary with experience & output.
Ideal promotion cycle.
