Openings: 4 positions Location: Nairobi – Runda (Ruaka Rd / Two Rivers spur) Overview: Dive into a role where every lap counts literally. You’ll lead swimmers from their first splash to competitive excellence, blending technique, endurance, and confidence in a safe, structured environment. Lane assignments, set plans, and timed sessions are your playground tools to measure progress and celebrate milestones. Safety is non-negotiable: lifeguard rosters, emergency drills, and meticulous chemical logs aligned with NEMA standards keep swimmers protected while maintaining pool integrity. You’ll coach, supervise, and troubleshoot, whether that’s refining a freestyle stroke or ensuring proper backwash routines. Parents, meets, and equipment are part of the ecosystem. Clear communication, smooth meet logistics, and well-maintained starting blocks, lane ropes, and training aids keep the program running like clockwork. Progression, incident-free days, and measurable performance improvements define your success both in the pool and in building swimmers who love the sport. Key Responsibilities: - Teach stroke fundamentals; plan progressive sets & meets. - Maintain lifeguard shifts, drills, and incident response. - Record chlorine/PH; backwash & chemical handling logs. - Parent communications and meet logistics. - Equipment upkeep (lane ropes, starting blocks). Education & Experience: - Coaching certs + Lifeguard cert; 2–5 yrs; first aid a must. Skills & Tools: - Stroke instruction, pool ops, safety drills, timing apps. KPIs: - Pass rates, PB improvements, incident-free days, chemical compliance. Compensation (Kenya): KES 70,000–120,000 + meet-day allowances. Client estimates; varies with squad size & certs.
