Openings: 1 Location: Nairobi – Upper Hill (Ragati Rd / Hospital area) Overview: Numbers tell stories, and on the pitch, you’re the translator. As a Sports Data Analyst, you’ll sift through GPS feeds, event logs, and video tags to uncover actionable insights that coaches can trust. Your job is clarity over complexity: present what matters, not what dazzles. Dashboards, pre/post-match packs, and player IDP summaries are your canvas. You’ll turn raw datasets into intuitive visuals, highlight trends, and quantify performance in ways that guide tactical decisions and player development. Precision and timing are everything; your analysis must be both accurate and digestible. Collaboration is key. You’ll train coaches to read the data, gather feedback, and refine your models based on what actually informs choices on the field. Every chart, heat map, or metric is a chance to impact results, reduce injury risks, and elevate performance. Data management is part of your DNA: maintain clean archives, enforce access controls, and keep a living dictionary that ensures consistency across reports. Your work underpins strategy, and your success is measured by smarter decisions and measurable player growth. Key Responsibilities: - Clean/merge GPS & event datasets; tag video where needed. - Build dashboards (work rate, xG-style chances, set-piece outcomes). - Produce pre/post-match packs & player IDP reports. - Train coaches on reading visuals; gather feedback. - Maintain data dictionary, archives, and access controls. Education & Experience: - Stats/CS/Sports Science + 2–4 yrs in sports analytics preferred. Skills & Tools: - SQL/Excel, basic Python/R, video tagging tools (Hudl/Wyscout), storytelling. KPIs: - Coach adoption, predictive accuracy, cycle time to deliver, and data quality. Compensation (Kenya): KES 130,000–210,000 + win/season bonuses. Client estimates vary with stack & league.
