As a Recreation & Wellness Coordinator, you’ll design and deliver programs that energize staff, boost engagement, and reduce absenteeism. From lunchtime classes to step challenges, nutrition talks, and mental health signposting, your calendar keeps wellbeing front and center. You’ll partner closely with HR and HSE, translating insights from participation trends into smarter campaigns. Every activity, challenge, or workshop is an opportunity to make employees feel seen, supported, and motivated to participate consistently. Vendor management and program logistics fall under your wing: sourcing instructors, managing budgets, coordinating spaces, and tracking KPIs. You’ll balance creativity with discipline, ensuring smooth execution while measuring what truly moves the needle. At the heart of the role is impact: higher participation, happier employees, and measurable wellness outcomes. You’re not just running events, you’re building a culture of health, engagement, and sustained performance. Key Responsibilities: - Map wellness needs; publish quarterly calendars. - Source instructors/vendors; manage contracts & budgets. - Run campaigns (challenges, screenings); track KPIs. - Coordinate comms, sign-ups, and space/equipment. - Report outcomes and iterate. Education & Experience: - Sports Science/Health Promotion/HR; 3–5 yrs corporate wellness. Skills & Tools: - Program design, vendor mgmt, basic analytics, engaging comms. KPIs: - Participation, satisfaction, absenteeism trend, repeat engagement. Compensation (Kenya): KES 120,000–190,000 + annual bonus. Client estimates vary with portfolio size.
