As a Sports Events Coordinator, you’ll orchestrate tournaments, leagues, and school festivals from first plan to final whistle. Every permit, official, result sheet, and sponsor logo passes through your hands, and your calm ensures everything clicks. Behind the scenes, you’re the engine that keeps venues booked, draws fair, medical cover ready, and volunteers aligned. Competitors might never see you sweat, but they’ll feel the smooth rhythm of a well-run event. Success is invisible, measured in on-time starts, happy participants, and zero logistical hiccups. Sponsors, parents, and school staff look to you for clarity and reliability. You’ll manage expectations, balance budgets, and report lessons learned, ensuring each event raises the bar for the next. This role is equal parts planning, execution, and subtle showmanship, all wrapped in a love of sport and community. At its core, you’re not just coordinating events, you’re shaping experiences, building trust, and turning every whistle and cheer into a reflection of flawless organization. Key Responsibilities: - Build event plans, budgets, and critical paths. - Book venues/equipment; secure permits, medics, and officials. - Create draws/schedules; run results & comms hubs. - Manage volunteers; coordinate sponsors & signage. - Close with reports, reconciliations, and lessons learned. Education & Experience: - Sports Mgmt/Events; 3–5 yrs sports event ops. Skills & Tools: - Project planning, vendor mgmt, live ops calm, spreadsheets. KPIs: - On-time starts, participant NPS, sponsor satisfaction, and budget variance. Compensation (Kenya): KES 110,000–180,000 + event bonuses. Client estimates vary with scale & sponsors.
