Openings: 1 Location: Nairobi – Muthaiga (Kiambu Rd / Forest edge) Overview: Our client is looking for a Video Editor to craft narrative documentaries, branded films, and mini-series. You’ll shape story arcs, direct post workflows, color, and sound to deliver cinematic, legally clean work. Collaboration with directors, producers, and motion designers is daily; deadlines are real. Key Responsibilities: - Assemble rough cuts; refine pacing, structure, and story beats. - Color grading and sound polish with mixers/VO artists. - Manage proxies, storage, and backups; maintain project hygiene. - Clear rights (music/footage/releases) with producers. - Export masters and platform-specific deliverables. Education & Experience: - Diploma or Bachelor's in Film/Media + 4–6 yrs editing long-form. Skills & Tools: - Premiere/Resolve, audio sweetening basics, color workflow, storytelling. KPIs: - On-time delivery, client revisions, viewer retention curves, award shortlistings. Compensation (Kenya): KES 150,000–240,000 + project completion bonuses. Comp is client-estimated and varies with reel quality, software depth, color/audio capability, and the complexity of deliverables. Big-name credits and festival selections can push offers higher.
