This drive-time show is a fast-paced mix of music, interviews, and service journalism, and your voice will be the thread that keeps audiences tuned in, engaged, and coming back day after day. Preparation is just as critical as performance. You’ll shape daily rundowns, script your links, and schedule music in collaboration with the PD and MD. Guests don’t just appear on air; you’ll brief, prep, and guide conversations that feel effortless, insightful, and entertaining. Timing, pacing, and energy are your constant companions. Our client is looking for someone who can build connections and community through sound. Fielding calls, managing ad clocks, and running segments that resonate requires a keen sense of audience mood and attention. Whether it’s a charity drive, OB coverage, or podcast integration, you’ll ensure every interaction reinforces the station’s brand and builds listener loyalty. Technology is your toolkit, but storytelling is your craft. From operating boards and controlling your voice dynamics to integrating social content and podcast workflows, you’ll blend precision with personality. Education & Experience: - Diploma or Bachelor's in Communication/Journalism/PR; 3–5 yrs on-air. Skills & Tools: - On-air boards, voice control, interviewing, social/podcast workflows. KPIs: - Quarter-hour maintenance, market share, social mentions, sponsorship delivery. Compensation (Kenya): KES 130,000–210,000 + show incentives + endorsement splits. Estimates from clients; packages vary with slot, market share history, voice brand, and exclusivity clauses. Negotiations may include appearance fees and branded content revenue shares.
