Openings: 2 Location: Nairobi – Kariobangi Light Industries (Outer Ring / Babadogo link) Overview: Our client is looking for Stage Managers to run rehearsals, show calls, and crew coordination for concerts and theatre. You’ll convert creative direction into precise cues and safe backstage traffic. Calm under pressure, you’ll own comms between FOH, LX, audio, and performers. Key Responsibilities: - Prep prompt book; plot cues; run tech and dress rehearsals. - Manage backstage call times, props, scene changes. - Coordinate with FOH, security, and H&S for crowd control. - Log incidents, changes, and post-show notes. - Maintain comms (comms packs, runners, radios). Education & Experience: - Theatre/Events/Media diplomas + 2–4 yrs. Skills & Tools: - Cueing, comms, basic rigging awareness, first aid. KPIs: - On-time starts, cue accuracy, incident-free shows, crew feedback. Compensation (Kenya): KES 80,000–120,000 + show/day allowances. Estimates; actuals vary with show frequency, scale, night rates, and overtime policies. Some employers blend retainers with per-show pay. Benefits: - Medical, meals on show days, PPE, CPD.
