Openings: 1 Location: Nairobi – Muthaiga Mini Market (Thigiri Ln / Limuru Rd spur) Overview: Keeping a festival safe, legal, and smooth in a busy city isn’t magic; it’s meticulous coordination. You’ll be the hub for permits, safety plans, sanitation, and traffic control, making sure every moving part fits without slowing the music or the energy. This role is about precision, patience, and stamina. Expect your calendar to be packed with meetings, calls, and site walks. You’ll liaise with county teams, police, EMS, and utilities, translating regulations into actionable plans. Every fence line, toilet block, and power feed needs your attention before the gates open. Documentation is your best friend. Safety plans, medical protocols, evacuation routes, and traffic maps must be clear, distributed, and rehearsed. You’ll lead briefings and control-room oversight, capturing incidents, resolutions, and all the minute details that keep auditors and stakeholders satisfied. On the day, you’re both a problem-solver and a diplomat. Coordinating vendors, multi-agency teams, and last-minute challenges requires calm under pressure and the ability to make decisions that keep the crowd safe and the event rolling. Key Responsibilities: - Map permit pathways; file applications; track approvals. - Draft safety, medical, evacuation, and traffic plans; brief all teams. - Coordinate fencing, sanitation, power, and water with vendors. - Run event control room logs; minute incidents and resolutions. - Close with debriefs, reconciliations, and deposit recoveries. Education & Experience: - Events/Occupational Safety/Logistics diplomas + 3–5 yrs large events. Skills & Tools: - Permits, H&S, liaison with multi-agencies, radio/comms discipline. KPIs: - Zero major incidents, on-time approvals, budget adherence, and post-event score. Compensation (Kenya): KES 125,000–185,000 + event-day allowances. Estimates reflect client input; final figures depend on event scale, 24/7 availability during build/strike, and prior record with county/multi-agency coordination.
