Early years learning thrives on patience, warmth, and careful attention to routine. As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll support teachers with small-group activities, reading corners, and outdoor play, helping create a classroom environment where children feel safe, engaged, and inspired to explore.
Our client values communicators who can balance structure with care. You’ll learn safeguarding, positive behavior techniques, and daily routines like snack, nap, and toileting supervision, ensuring that every child’s day is smooth and secure.
From preparing learning stations to supporting phonics and basic numeracy, your work will directly enhance lessons while giving teachers the support they need to focus on instruction. Playground supervision and smooth transitions will be part of your daily rhythm, keeping children safe and engaged throughout the day.
You’ll also interact with parents under teacher guidance, update display boards, and maintain classroom materials and cleanliness. Every small effort tidy shelves, prepared stations, clear communication contributes to a joyful, effective learning environment.
Over time, you’ll develop foundational skills in classroom management, child development, and instructional support. For someone patient, organized, and child-focused, this role provides a clear path toward becoming an early years teacher, while making a tangible difference in children’s first learning experiences.
