Guests arrive expecting speed, courtesy, and smooth service and you’ll be the first friendly face they see. From handling reservations and check-ins to processing payments accurately, your attention to detail sets the tone for their stay.
You’ll become fluent in the PMS, logging requests, coordinating with housekeeping and engineering, and ensuring every room is ready on time. Night audits rotate with senior staff guiding you, so accuracy under quiet, low-light pressure becomes second nature.
Upselling is part of the craft. You’ll learn to suggest upgrades gracefully, match offers to guest needs, and turn a simple stay into a memorable experience all while keeping your composure under busy lobbies or phone lines ringing off the hook.
Communication is key. Clear, polite speech combined with calm problem-solving will make you the go-to staff member when guests have questions, special requests, or minor complaints. Your professional presence reassures both guests and teammates.
By the end of your first month, you’ll manage arrivals, departures, and room coordination with confidence, helping the hotel run smoothly and leaving guests smiling as they enter and exit.
Client estimates vary with languages spoken, night shift availability, and upsell consistency.
