Weekend tournaments and school sports days run on precision, and you’ll be at the heart of it. From marking pitches to setting up flags, goals, and tents, every detail helps the day flow smoothly. Your hands-on work keeps events safe, organized, and visually clear for participants and spectators alike.
You’ll manage registrations, verify waivers, and issue bibs and schedules to teams. Coordinating fixtures, updating brackets, and recording results accurately ensures competitions run on time. Radios and clear communication are your allies for keeping multiple pitches aligned.
Crowd and participant management is just as important as the physical set-up. Calm guidance, quick problem-solving, and courteous interactions help everyone enjoy the event and stay safe. On finals days, speed and accuracy get extra attention every second counts.
Post-event, you’ll oversee equipment returns, inventory, and storage, while liaising with first-aid, security, and vendors. A neat handover signals a well-run event and keeps the next day’s prep easier.
If you thrive in structured chaos, enjoy outdoor teamwork, and take pride in flawless execution, this role lets you see your efforts make a tangible difference on the field every weekend.
